4. 1960s era Singer Household Sewing Machine This Singer sewing machine, model 239, comes with a very small sewing table. It is an electric straight stitch sewing machine with all metal gears. It is capable of sewing heavy fabrics and light leather. The Singer 239 was gone over and oiled recently. It sews perfectly. It is a good starter sewing machine for a novice.
