Finanace Committee Meeting Minutes

Monday February 16, 2004

Present: Keegan MacNaughton, Melodie de l'Ours Blanc MacNaughton, Jamila al-Bhakailiya, Damiana Almodovar, Bilgisayer Tajir al-Hissoon, Fiona Villon, William Fitzwater.

Meeting called to order at 8:06pm

Special committees

Beltaine Brew and Brawl

Need handicapped porta-potty.

Tax-exempt - Keegan will get our ID which is filed as a 1075. Damiana has the federal tax id number.

General supplies Paper plates and cups, water, Tikki fuel, printing

Fudge factor built in.

Wrong prices went out in Feb pikestaff; Submitted new prices in Jan, so should be good in March.

Need to get an announcement to the Acorn (atlantian newsletter)

We can get into the site on Thursday to set up.

Site questions. Get Smokey the Baron Durr's event fire marshal guide

Drew's Dad Randy Bates- site owner

We are going to grid things off with central firepits much like pennsic. This way people won't be digging their own firepits

Gaming place -let's ask Michael Wollfauer

Black powder discharge for this event? Keegan will check if we can do this, and Fitz will report back to his crew to see They will bring their own marshal - no projectile. Will do as a demo. If we can allow them they will move their other event to the following weekend in order to come to ours.

Equestrian Area will be used for something else. Atlantians were willing to bring their cavalry, but we will maybe try this another time when we have the rest of the event under our belts.

Cal and Chris are thrown weapons marshals and may run that.

Gaming tent - ask Michael Wolffauer.

No Mug Fundraiser this time around - try for Pennsic.

Consider press release in April to invite public for day, throw tabards on them at the gate if they forget garb.

Voted in favor 7, opposed 0, abstained 0. Budget approved.

Adolphus doing breakfast on Sunday? Adolphus in charge of fundraisers.

Hours of Troll: Fri 2pm - midnight, Saturday 8am - 4pm

Marshalled activities for children will not be addressed unless we magically get a youth marshal, but we are not pursuing this.

Activities will be up top on flat part, activites will be down hill.

Finance Committee not planning to meet again this quarter.
