Seneschal

1) The event is running smooth enough for government work, any questions please ask.

2) Any interest in the DD Dep Seneschal position?

3) We seem to be having some personality conflicts going on. That is OK it is bound to happen with this many people working together. Please lets keep the goal in sight and work through our differences.

Beltaine Issues:

1) Beer is in production

2) Working on chairs

3) Let me know if you wish to reschedule the site visit.

4) Waiting to sign the final contract for the porta-potties

5) If we have any other contracts to sign please let me know.

Exchequer

We have money in the bank from pre-registrations (Although the exact numbers were reported at the meeting, the recording secretary has no record of them).

Chatelaine

May 8 Demo coming up.

New people have contacted us.

Mistress of Arts and Sciences

Uncle Rashid is continuing Garb workshops on Wednesday nights.  They are covering bodices and corsets.

Brewers Guild meets the second Wednesday of the month.  See Celtic Cock Brewers Guild at www.celticcockbrewersguild.org for details.

Athena's Thimble is coming April 24th.  This is a kingdom event and it is being held within the canton's borders.  Highly recommended.

Herald

I will be unable to attend as I will be on a plane to Florida at the time.

I have your arms ready for review. Damiana will bring it to the meeting on Monday. If you like it, I will need $9.00 to send it to the college of heralds.

Still working on arms for Lady Melody, Lord William Graham and my broken one.

Knight Marshal

Office presently stands empty.

Marshal of Fence

Unfortunately I have been unable to secure a spot of indoor fencing at this time. I will continue to seek one out. But now that it is getting nicer perhaps we can resume practice if the site Lord William had last year is still available until we can get an indoor facility.

Also, my apologies for being absent from the meeting, however my Aunt passed away and I will be on my way home to for the funeral and such.

Please address any questions or comments regarding the fencing situation with Lady Katrine and I will get the info from her.

Webmistress

We officially have space on the East Kingdom website, and we will move after the Beltaine event.  I reported last month that I would start moving pieces over early, but have since realized that this would mean maintaining two copies in two different languages, so I won't be tackling this until after Beltaine, since people need to be able to find the Beltaine webpage for the event.

Per Katrine's request, I will make a link from the newsletter page to the history page where the archives are stored.

Chronicler

I'm really pleased with the submissions we've been getting in. People are doing a great job of sending in interesting content that shows what we're about and what we're up to. If you haven't submitted material, please consider doing so. If you're an officer or teacher and haven't submitted material, please consider sharing your knowledge this way as time allows.

April is a spring themed issue and the theme is kids. Please send submissions about or by kids to canton_chronicler (at) yahoo.com. Submissions on other subjects are most welcome also.

I would like to publish a post-event report of Beltaine. Will these be the compiled notes from a post-event meeting?  Suba will take the minutes from the post-event meeting.

Also would like to see about getting a newsletter archive available on the Web site.

Special committees

Beltaine Brew and Brawl

See after the meeting. (Recording secretary notes that the minutes from this meeting were lost).

Demo Committee

Demo is May 8th.  Need to post directions and information on the web.

Old Business

Indian Lane Elementary Demos April 16th and May 24th.

Judith the Confused brought up at Barony Meeting the MDA camp 16th Wed of June 4:30-10:00pm Variety camp outside of Norristown.  Please contact her to volunteer.  It's in Hartshorndale.  Lorcan will ask her on Saturday.  they have a person in charge of demos whom we can connect to Judith.  This is an easy demo,  even if you can show up at 6pm this would work.

Reconfirmed that we committed exactly $50 to the Barony for the new meeting site, and that the $50 will come out of the mug fundraiser run by Damiana.

New Business

None.
